Country Range’s sponsorship of the FutureChef competition gives us the chance to make a difference locally — inspiring young people, connecting with schools and teachers, and helping to build a strong, skilled future for the hospitality industry.
Springboard FutureChef is a competition that helps students aged 12–16 develop key life and culinary skills, while discovering the various exciting career paths hospitality has to offer.
Each year, over 25,000 students from around the country take part — competing in school, local, regional and national events. The students are guided by professional mentor chefs, and will learn about the importance of nutrition, kitchen safety, sustainability and creativity with food. They will gain hand experience of what it’s like to cook in a professional environment.
We’re passionate about supporting our local community and the food industry as a whole. FutureChef gives us a great opportunity to get involved in something that truly matters – helping to close the skills gap and shine a light on the rewarding careers available in catering and hospitality.
By working alongside schools, teachers and Springboard UK, we’re proud to encourage young people to explore their passion for food and help develop a pipeline of talented chefs for the future.
